My Collection© for Collector's Value Calculator is an easy to use Spreadsheet for tracking your entire Collection.
If you use My Collection© your Collection, your Inventory will always be up to date. You can just use it to quickly browse through your entire collection, to calculate your expenses or to see your collection value grow!
You would be so surprised to see how quickly the dollar value of your collection increases with each new entry as well as with every item retirement or age increase.
If you fill in the chart each time you add to your particular collection, then you can use it as a quick way of seeing what you have and what you need to complete or update your collection or to stock your shelves!
My Collection© can be used for small or large collections of all kinds. You can even create an inventory of your valuable collection for insurance purposes!!!
QUICKSTART:
You simply fill in the charts of your My Collection© version each time you add to your Beanie collection. Fill in only 3 spaces Quan. for Quantity / Current Value put in the Current Value if you know it.
/ Average Cost you paid.
You can use the price found in a store, on ebay or from a web site as the current value. The rest will work automatically to calculate the total values per item, for the whole collection and your costs. This useful and easy to use calculating tool will instantly give you a new value total every time you add a new item as well as give you a quick way of seeing what you have and what you need to complete or update your collection.
HELP: HOW TO GET STARTED!!!
First, fill in the number of Beanie Babies or items of the same kind that you have in the Quan. for Quantity section for each Beanie Baby or item. Place a 0 - Zero or leave the cell blank if you do not have a one.
In the Average Cost column, fill in the price that you paid or the average price that you paid per item or per Beanie Baby if you have more than one.
Some people would include shipping as a part of this expense (Your choice).
4 Tystore Beanie Babies @5.00 each plus $4.00 shipping = $24.00 divided by 4 = $6.00 Average Cost
Fill in the Current Value of your Item or Beanie. You can update the Current Values yourself as they change over time.
NOTE: Do not enter the Individual Beanie Baby or Item Current Total Value, Total Cost, or the overall collection Total Cost, Total Value or Increase.
These will calculate automatically.

This information can be found on web sites like SmartCollecting through MetaExchange or or by searching EBaY for Ty + Beanie Name or by searching for Your item and its' brand name.

Many web sites have come and gone and the prices of Beanies have gone up and down over time. The best way to find the Current Value of a beanie is to find out what it would cost you today to buy it. Visit web sites that sell beanies and auction sites. Find out the average cost of each beanie and add to it what it would cost to ship it to you. The answer would be that beanies value, what it is worth.
Ebay, Beaniehut, Beanies 4 You, Cindysbeans, Barrysbeanies and other similar sites are great places to find Current Prices.

Adding a new Beanie Baby or Doll or Truck or Other Item:
Highlight the row below the desired entry spot.
Alphabetical order is used in each category.
Insert the number of new rows desired, one at a time.
OR
Insert a row where desired, Copy one of the Convenient Add A New Item Rows found at the end of each category, paste it into the new empty row, then substitute the text with the name of the new added item or beanie.

Type in the Beanie Baby Name or item, the Quantity and the Average Cost paid per Beanie Baby or item.
If there is no dollar amount $0.00 showing for the individual Current Total Value or Total Cost when the Quan. is entered:
Highlight and copy a similar $ cell in the same column of the Current Total Value or of the Total Cost, then highlight and paste it into your same column empty $ cell of the Current Total Value or of the Total Cost
ERROR!
1. Highlight the cell containing the error message
2. Click on the ! exclamation next to it and go to "Trace Error"
3. Fix the number in the problem cell entry.
No matter what you do, don't forger to Save! Save!! Save your file to preserve any changes that you may make.
An alternative quick way to fix a cell with an error is to simply copy a 0.00 cell with no problem in the same column and to paste it into the problem cell replacing the error box.

You must have EXCEL.EXE installed on your computer in order to work with this program. An Excel Viewer will only allow you to see the form but will not allow you to make any changes to it. Excel is a Microsoft Windows based program that runs on IBM compatible computers.
This program works on Macintosh also. Any computer ( IBM or Mac ) running MicroSoft Office software, can use this program. Since software is not returnable, make sure that you have, or install from your Microsoft CD or plan to buy EXCEL.EXE Spreadsheet application.
